PUBG Update 8.2 is bringing a ton of changes to the game but we're going to narrow them down to our three favorites.
Besides the changes below, another change coming with Update 8.2 is the Helmet Hide Function. This option is purely cosmetic and will make a player's helmet invisible on his screen. There will also be a plethora of performance and UI enhancements: faster font loading, background music selection, an expanded Esports Tab, and more.
PUBG Update 8.2 will hit the Public Test Server on Aug. 12, officially release on PC Aug. 19, and finally come to consoles and Stadia on Aug. 27.
3 Best Changes in PUBG Update 8.2
1. MG3 Light Machine Gun (New Weapon)

PUBG Update 8.2 is introducing a new weapon: the MG3 Light Machine Gun. This LMG will spawn in Care Packages, and has "two different rates of fire, a bipod for stability, tracer rounds to help you keep track of your spray, and increased weapon damage to vehicles." The MG3 also has two firing modes. It won't be available in Ranked Matches.
2. Decoy Grenade (New Throwable)
A new throwable is coming with Update 8.2: the Decoy Grenade. This grenade will emit gunshot sounds for 10 seconds after being thrown, disorienting your opponents. Like the MG3. Decoy Grenades won't be available in Ranked Matches.
3. Throwables Wheel Menu Improvements

PUBG Update 8.2 is restructuring the Throwables Wheel Menu. The new wheel has six slots, giving players immediate access to all throwables. Four slots will be permanent locations for the Frag Grenade, Molotov Cocktail, Smoke Grenade and Stun Grenade. The other two are dynamic; the right side will hold either the Sticky Bomb or C4, and the left will hold either the Decoy Grenade or Spike Trap.
